WELCOME

I am a clinical and developmental psychologist with a strong belief in the importance of continuous learning and integrating many different theoretical perspectives in one's work. I love learning and striving to better understand the human experience. I continuously challenge myself to find the best way to help those who come to me; by reading, studying, and working on my own Self.
We are all different. We possess our own internal universe and external world that shape our thoughts and emotions.
I believe moments of discomfort can lead to profound personal growth and insight.
Not everything can and needs to be rationally explained, but the desire to better understand oneself is often central in therapy. I emphasize a listening and integrating approach, where I engage deeply with my clients, fostering a therapeutic relationship that is collaborative. I invest myself in this relationship too, hoping to create the safest space possible for exploration and healing.
To quote Carl Jung: "one who looks outside, dreams. One who looks inside, awakens".
Through my scientific career focusing on brain metabolism and the gut-brain axis, when desired, I can also offer insights into how the body influences our thoughts, as much as our thoughts influence our bodies. I work with many professionals to sustain my clients in the most interdisciplinary way possible.

What people say

  • "It was a great relief to be able to benefit from sophie delaunay's sympathetic support as i embarked on this not-so-simple gaps diet. First of all, she managed to reassure me to start by demystifying the difficulties and adapting the diet to the individual. She provides lots of practical advice on cooking and getting organised, and answers practical questions quickly and cheerfully. I learnt lots of new cooking techniques! In addition to these practical aspects, i also really appreciated her support as a psychologist. I felt really well looked after and cared for." (Camille, suffering with IBD and Anxiety)

  • "I am the mother of an autistic kid. When he was 18 months, we knew that he was different from other kids. After we met Sophie and followed the GAPS diet with her, we noticed the first difference in 15 days, my kid started to speak. He suddenly developed in many areas after GAPS. Now he can understand and speak 2 languages. Sophie was very helpful, very professional and very kind with my son. She is always ready to help us and knows the diet very well. Thank you so much Sophie for being here for my son." (S, 36 years old, mother of a 4 year old autistic boy)
